Community Events
- CalArts Animation Showcase: Fun for the whole family at the CalArts Animation Showcase, hosted by the Raising The Curtain Foundation. The event takes place on May 31st from 6pm until 9pm. Professional animators will also share information about making a career in animation. Admission is $10 and the proceeds go to the Newhall Family Theatre. Students of the Newhall School District get in free and is located at 24600 Walnut Street.
- 10 By 10 Variety Night: Enjoy a night of storytelling, comedy, music, movies, and more at the 10 By 10 Variety Night on the first Thursday of every month. Each performer has 10 minutes to give a unique performance. The next event takes place at The Main, on 24266 Main Street, on Thursday, June 6th from 7pm until 9pm.
- Importance of Being Earnest: Enjoy Oscar Wilde’s comedy classic at the Canyon Theatre Guild on 24242 Main Street. The first appearance takes place on May 25th at 8pm and the show will run until June 22nd. Admission is between $15 to $19. See a true classic with the entire family!
- Sleepy Valley and Sabina Arias: Soundcheck presents an evening of music on Saturday, May 25th from 8pm until 10pm at The Main on 24266 Main Street. Admission is $8 to $10 per person. Enjoy acoustic performances from Sabina Estrella Arias and the alternative punk folk group, Sleepy Valley. Each artist blends various musical styles and genres to create something new and unique. A great night for the entire family.
